Start with the coating system
Identify the binder family, intended application and performance requirement before selecting individual ingredients. A paint raw material request should distinguish pigments, extenders, binders, carrier materials and functional additives. A product name alone does not define an interchangeable grade.
Compare like-for-like proposals
Ask suppliers to identify the proposed grade, manufacturer and current technical sheet. Compare the properties relevant to your formulation, and keep laboratory qualification separate from commercial approval. Record any permitted alternatives explicitly.
Make the request complete
Include quantity and unit, recurring demand if relevant, packaging constraints and delivery destination. List the documents required for review. This guide describes procurement information; it is not a formulation or chemical-use instruction.
